Are you using a pallet lift to remove/install the engine cradle?

We have the k-member/trans sitting on a furniture dolly to roll it around.

I really didn't have much motivation today, and wasn't going to even mess with it but I did. Just lifted the motor off the k-member and removed the trans/clutch. All of my gaskets and new motor mounts came in today so I will probably switch them out tomorrow. If I get off work at 3:30 I may try to tap the pan and hang the IC. Then go see Role Models, looks like it will be pretty good.

I had to work saturday 10 hours and sunday 12 hour so I didn't get to make any progress. Then on top of that it has been raining the past 2 days. But my 2-step and abs delete kit came in yesterday. Maybe I won't have to work this weekend and I will make some more progress.

Looks good so far. You need to do some more work on the car and quit being a whispering eye

Got some stuff done today but no pictures worth really taking. I remove all the engine covers, motor mounts, oil pan, oil pick up tube, and crank pulley. I then installed the rockers, valley cover, knock sensors, valve covers, and intake. My boss picked me up a 3/8 NPT tap and a 37/64 tap today on the companies dollar.

I also called the company that is doing the coating to see when it will be finished. They happen to be working on it as I was on the phone with them. So the hotside should be back on Friday. The price was $390 does that sound right to yall or a little high?

I have another question. Where should I tap the pan at for the drain and where to I get the feed from? Also do I need a restrictive jet (whatever you call it) for the feed line going to the turbo?

The motor has a melling oil pump. I am unsure if it is a high volume or equal to a ported ls6? Maybe someone else can enlighten me.

They have 2 different versions. I would start with not using a restrictor period, then if it smokes restrict it down as a last option.

I didnt run a restrictor on my old shop car. It had a ported pump. I would just keep an eye on it and have a restrictor ready.

The furniture dollies actually work really well. I've used them quite a few times to move engine, transmissions, and other large engine parts around.

Got a lot done today and the motor will be in the car tomorrow for sure. Pretty much got the motor completely assembled. Then got the motor and the clutch mated up. The pictures tell the tale of what I did.

Does anyone notice a problem in the next two picture? I'm sure Josh will pick up on it.
