I have to cut off the driveshaft loop now and make a new support for it, it is never ending. Never the less I am very excited to drive a stalled auto (never have) and see some better times at the track. But now it looks like I am going to be but on nights at work tomorrow, 7-12s. I'm sure that will delay the project.

I have a LPE 2-step, I'm not sure how many psi on my motor. I think the turbo will be at it's limit at 17-18psi on my car, but that's just a guess.

Is this 4l80 going to be full manual or computer controlled?

Made some progress today without anything going south. I removed all the interior out of the car getting ready for the 6 point to show up, I also cut off the driveshaft loop so it doesn't hit anymore and I could finally put in the DS. I think the DS is going to work fine and not be to short which is a relief.

As usual when I'm tearing into this thing I find something that was screwed up. As I was pulling the carpet out on the passenger side some of it was stuck to the floor. I thought to myself why in the hell did the glue this down. I just tore the carpet around the stuck spot and pulled it out. When I came back to look at the patch left I realized that it wasn't glued, it was melted.

Then later in the day I saw this bad boy.

Been knocking it out without anymore problems arising. The cooler is mounted and lines ran, just need to wire it up. Bought some aluminum flat bar and made to small straps to hold it up. It barely fit in there.

Cut and bent a piece of aluminum to cover the hole where the shifter came through the floor.

Mounted the shifter to the plate, I was amazed it fits perfect with the stock console.

I forgot to order the seat brackets for the new seats. When I do go to order them and I see that they are $90 each, no thanks. I went and bought about $30 of material from the local mom and pop store and started building my own. The driver side is almost done, I haven't started on the passenger side yet.

My 6 point showed up yesterday afternoon so I jump on that right away. It rained most of the day today but I still made good progress.

So with it being full manual the only wires you need to connect are the reverse and neutral safety switch correct? Nothing else?

Progress looks awesome!

The wires coming out of the hole on the right side of the shifter are from the transmission. I have to send a signal to the trans, then a ground for the transbrake and the converter lock up. It also has wires for the temp sensor.

Finished the cage install and the driver seat bracket. The bracket came out pretty good, but the paint on the cage sucks. It looks like **** and scratches off easily. I never have been good at detailed things like that.

Anyone have any tips on fixing the paint on the cage. I cleaned it with B-12/ acetone then primer and painted it with rustoleum. It's kinda hazy in spots and like I said scratches easily. I probably should have roughed up the metal will some high grit sand paper first. Could I buy some type of paint and brush it on?

It's finished but I am having an issue with the shifter linkage adjustment. The lever arm that goes on the trans mission fits sloppy. It won't always go into all the gears. I follow the instructions on getting it set where it moves freely in park and 1st but 2nd, 3rd, and 4th don't line up as well. Has anyone else had an issue with a quicksilver and a 4l80?

Be sure you have the coorect lever on the trans and are using the correct hole in the lever. Then adjust neutral first and check 1,2,3,4 . Park is the last thing you want to check.

No. If it has play, you need a new lever.
