Do these fit in the base housings or do these use bigger inlets?

76 HTAs are now on, we picked up 110 rwhp at 6k, and made more torque with 2 psi less This is a 60 lb/min wheel with an 11 blade turbine wheel. I have 70 and 80 lb/min wheels ready to go, but these current guys really like big pressure. Going from 17-18 psi, we picked up 22 hp, which IMO, is GREAT! Remember, we couldnt keep ANY boost in it past 5500.... Notice how with the increase in airflow, it moved peak power further up, and doesnt fall off like before

Spool is the same, not sure why it wouldnt spool today on the dyno, maybe due to the screens taking in HOT air right off the manifolds.

Either way, car is completely different AND the smoking is GONE!

Not too bad results but should be able to get to 1000rwhp with 60pound wheels. So why still such low boost or is that all the new wheels would do. And why would putting in new wheels fix oiling problems? Did they change out the center cartridges or just the wheels?

Nice to see the upgraded ones are holding the power better up top.

I need a 3 bar on this car before I crank it up more Thats the only reason we havnt turned it up.

Like I said, I picked up 23 from 17-18 psi. Imagine what itll do when we let it eat 22 or 24 psi?

Where can I get the upgraded comp wheels or was this with different turbos altogether. I've got mine out of the car to rebuild them and wouldn't mind upgrading. I'd also like to know what was causing the smoking problem you were having...that's why mine are out.

yeah still not clear. are these just new wheels installed or are they new center housings as well?
And yeah what did they find as the reason for oil problems?

The car was smoking bad, so bad you smelled like oil when you got out of it after a 10 minute drive. It smoked BAD on the stock engine with the way the APS instructions have you setting up the PCV/beather, we changed it up, added a catch can or 2 and some HUGE breather lines. The smoking got better, but still smoked on decel only after a short pull.

Then we added a scavenge pump. Still smoked. WTF.

At that point, I had no other choice but to change the whole CHRA. If Im changing the whole CHRA, Im putting better parts in there. An 11 blade Exhaust wheel and a 60 lb/min compressor wheel with a new center section. I was at PRI when my guys swapped them out, and never got a pic, Ill have pics monday of the 2. But that stopped 90% of the smoking, no joke.

The car now has new CHRAs, a scavenge pump, and BIG breathers.

Smoking seems to be an issue with a lot of these setups, but everyone is keeping hush hush about it? Or not talking about it.

Now that I know what these new turbos did at this boost level, we will work on getting pics up next week and pricing for them as well.

Louis

I know, were already pushing 18 on the 2 bar, Ive spent WAY too much time on this car to do anything other than doing it right. I ordered the 3 bar, but this car needs to spend sometime with the owner, and not smoking on my rollers all day Its WAY Too clean to sit

Louis can we see some pics of the car? Sounds clean, but we can only imagine what it looks like. What kind of drivetrain is in the car? How about wheels and tires? thanks!

Hmm hoping I don't need to add a scavenge pump.I liked the simplicity of the gravity feed. There were quite a few people on here with standard aps pcv setup and oil drain and no mention of oil problems but some did have some so hard to figure out exactly from what. Maybe you can see how smoking is with some of the new center cartridge turbos with the normal aps pcv and oil return setup on some of the other cars.

So you will have prices for the center cartridges with the new wheels ? So that was the 1050 price per side you quoted before? so you would require our old centers as cores or just sell these new ones outright?

And you said no need to do any machining on the inlet housings for these 60 pound setups?

Did you upgrade to bigger injectors yet also. You said you were going to 3 bar.
Are any of your cars running a bigger engine like 402 or 408 with some aftermarket parts?

Well my turbo housing finally came back from the coaters last week. There putting my turbos back together after doing some light port work. And My car should(SHOULD) be ready in a week or so. Then off to the tuners and 1000rwhp. If the injectors can keep up. I've got 60lbers so I'm not sure.
