So you spent these 3 months building just to get rid of it huh? lol. Just read the whole thread... looks like a good setup for sure. Now Ive been out of the ls1tech community for a bit... what ended up happening to your black TA? Did you sell it? And if so why would you build the same exact setup again? lol. Just curious

65 396/425, sold it way too cheap back then and the guy I sold it too is going to sell it back to me for a damn good price since I gave him such a good deal on it.
I havent put this one up for sale yet..
I sold my old TA a while back, raced it for four years..
The old car had a 25.5 cage, BS3, chute etc and I decided I wanted just do a more sedate 10.0 index/bracket car with a 6pt roll bar. It was cheaper to sell it and start over than cut everything out of that one.
In the end this one cost very little over what I sold the old car and parts for, plus its all new now. It will have the capability to run just as quick as the old TA so if I get bored its just a 8.50 cage away...

Sounds like a cool ride. 65 for the street and Hawk for the track.

I will probably be the only one that says it but I say buy the vette. It seems like it means alot to you plus mid years vettes are beautiful imo. Also, if its a good deal you only stand to make money on a mid year vette. Whereas the future to make money on 4th gens is a long ways off especially when you start modding them. Just my 2 cents.

I took a pass on it, the seller is hurting for cash and I really dont want it back that bad. Just that he offered it back was good enough for me. I have had a few mid years so its not a big deal, it was a nice car but there are a lot of nice cars out there.
As far as this one, I bought/built it to race it, it will never be worth anything except for the fun I can extract out of it..

Alright, time to get back to work. Short block came today, just your basic diamond piston, howard's billet rod, stock crank, LS6 block. Got the heads yesterday (AFR 225s) and went and picked up my headers from the coater. I sold the 1 3/4 Kooks I had and picked up a set of 1 7/8 kooks, they were a couple years old and looked a little moldy so I had them ceramic coated locally. I should have taken some pics of the headers before they were coated, night and day difference.
Should be running in a week or so unless something comes up..
