Very Nice kp!!

So, you did pull the engine from the top correct? Is it easier that away? I've always pulled them from the bottom.

If the trans is out its easy to pull it from the top, dont even have to tahe the hood off or put it on the ground, just slide the hoist in from the side and pull it out..

If I had a lift I'd drop it all out from the bottom, but I dont..

Kevin, will you be sticking with the TR blower cam (224/227 114 LSA) and how is that cam on the streets (lope). I've got a Gt2-3 (207/220 .571/.578 118.6 cl) how much diffrent is yours from mine. Sorry for all these dumb questions, but if you don't ask you won't learn. ha-ha

It had a pretty good lope to it, lower compression and less cubic inches = more lope. Car had a manual trans so its not too hard to get it to idle decent. Nothing wrong with that GT2-3 cam, I ran very well with an '01 Z06 cam which is tiny compared to the the GT2.

If I decide to go a little faster I may, for what I'm planning on doing this one will work fine.

kp, whats the max boost you would go with on this setup before going to a meth kit. I plan on going to the tack and driving it around on my days off. Only asking cuz there's only 91 octane out here and I don't want to break something.

I've always told my wife that if I win the lotto, I'll go down to EPP with Bob and work for free just to learn how to work on these motors. Hell, if I win the lotto I'll go to Knoxville and pay you to teach me. haha

I'm not a good teacher, just a cranky old man, ask my kids

I use whatever fuel is needed for the power I plan on making at the time, I dont use meth injection so I cant say.

what's up KP, always interesting to read your threads.

My hunch is you enjoy building the car as much if not more than racing. Am I right?

I dont mind racing, its the loading the car up, dealing with the trailer, maintaining everything and the long tow home when its over that sucks.

But yea, putting the car together at home is the fun part for me, its like a giant model kit.

LOL that's kind of what I figured, more fun putting it together and sticking new parts on. I've watched friends race and its rarely a pain especially when you are doing it all yourself.

Nice day out today so I figured I'd roll it outside and wash 2 months of dust off the car. Except for finishing up some wiring its pretty much done until I put the engine/trans in. Have to mount the intercooler and trans cooler and thats about it. Looks pretty nice when its all cleaned up, little plain but thats the way I like it.

Its been two months so its not that short of a time. Plus when the engine gets here it will be another 2-3 to weeks put it together. Thats a 1/4 of year total, which to me is a long time.
