Turbo Saleen - Dyno Vid

It now makes 673rwhp with a very conservative tune. I was told by the guy who built and tuned the car that it has a 67mm turbo on it. That doesn't mean a whole lot to me since I don't know much about turbo cars.

Excluding this 03 Cobra, there are probably 500 Mustangs that are faster than the fastest LS1 or LT1.

 

Wow that thing is badass. Turbos are the coolest sounding things ever!

 

That thing sounds like it means business.....

 

and look at that powerband...its not a strip hog that thing would be great driving around town peak hp was made at like 4900-5000rpms. Pretty badass car would like to see a vid of it actually racing though dynos are nice but if he runs a 14.2@120 does it really matter?

Only 17 psi, very nice. I like that the turbo sits high, no scavenging problems with that thing . I would love to know what kind of tubing set up that car has, I'll bet it's not a log

It's not a drag car really as you can see by the 19" wheels. It would run mid to high 9's for sure with the correct suspension & tires.

No way that thing would only run 120mph. My car will run mid 120's. That car would be closer to the 140mph mark. I'd be happy to run 14.2 @ 140.

 

he he.... right on Paul. thats a TDC kit... word is they went out of business because of bad management/customer service...and sorta pulled an "incon"..(geesh what is it with these turbo companies

And no... no log manifolds here.... they actually wanted to make some power

 

friend of mine has their twin set up on his '95 gt. car does'nt run yet but it will probably be pretty bad. took him about a year to get all of his parts but he did get them all. the manifolds they use are cast I believe...not too much better than a log.

 

as far as i have seen... every kit they have made has been tubular header style manifolds.... either way, if they indeed are cast like Incons.... then they were made that way for reliability. And as far as being better.... Incon used them.... and right now there is a stock bottom end Incon car in the 9's.... and also Harlan was running them....

 

 

Stealth you are a BITTER man about this ford being faster thing. Just love what you got, your car is a MONSTER. I will trade you a 9 sec. ford for your car anyday.
