Ok, what would you guys do in my situation? I have the ported 241 heads with prc springs installed already in them, would you install the ported 241 heads or just put the prc springs in the 5.3 heads? Im kinda torn on what is the best way to go, would I see any advantage putting the 241 heads on?

After a tough last year being laid off i am finally getting to work on my car again, is there anymore insight on my question above, I have a pair of ported and polished set of 241 heads that have prc springs installed in them, should I use those on my 5.3 or transfer the springs to the 5.3 heads and leave it along except for my cam.
Would there be any advantage to running the 241 heads?

Thanks for any help!

you have gotten your answer here many times...

people have said, no not really, cam will do the same thing, just change that.
Also, it was mentioned its not big enough of a change to go thru the work to swap them out, now if you get a set of 317 heads, then ur in business.

I think the more inportant change is head studs. If I had to run a stock 5.3 head or a 241 I would still run head studs.

The turbo van is a stock 5.3 and daily drives (everyday) at 15-18 psi on 91 with 50-50 distilled and meth. Its got a 72 turbo with 317's zo6 cam. It has only seen retard a few times, which for the most part is good since at least I know the sensors work. I did run it repeatedly at the track and it went faster short shifting. It now shifts at 5800, and it might go faster even lower then that. (I started at 6200)

I have pretty much your exact setup on my truck....5.3, 317 heads, studs, S472 at 14 psi, 93 octane, 100% water injection.
What kind of timing are you running in boost? Would you be willing to share your timing table with me? I've got mine running well, and it doesn't knock at all, but I feel that I'm leaving a lot on the table as far as timing.

I bet that runs great in a 69 truck. The van is 6500 lbs and is going mid 12's with 3000 ft da's. Ill share , no problem but we should probably take it to email. Ill have to figure out which laptop its on also. I run a 2 bar sd tune in it, and plug the maf (in a plastic bag) in for passing emmissions.
