project tin can shootin for 9's
So i FINALLY drove the car, yes after 6 years i ripped it down the block! (no vids yet) However i ran into a little problem, when i got back in the garage we had to push the car up and come to find out something was binding up. Jacked the car up and it was the rearend, if you guys didnt know....rearends need gear lube! Yes, this is why im not a fan of "mocking up" stuff because you forget important things like gear oil. Pulled the center section out and the 4.11 gears were still good, just got a little hot from the 6 blocks so i dodged a bullet on that one. However while its out i swapped over to a 3.25 gear so its more turbo friendly vs the 4.11, lol. Also added a MWC ARB to top things off!
Then i had a tuning issue, car would run 16.00+ lean and would surge really bad in gear and couldnt figure it out why. Sold my a1000 pump and bought a new Holley Dominator and sold my 60lb injectors and replaced with new 80's THINKING that was the problem...nope. I put my buddys computer in my car and it ran good so i had my computer flashed with a tune close to his so im able to drive the car and work out the kinks, like no gear oil, before i get it dyno tuned. On the other hand at least i know now my car has the proper fuel system vs the smaller pump/injectors!
As of right now the center section needs to be set-up with new gears and put the computer back in THEN i can rip it again and ill get some vids.

I really like that MWC anti roll! I have one of Eric's Fab 9s in my car. One of those would compliment it well. It fits with the fuel tank in the stock location correct?
Yes, the MWC arb fits with stock tank. You unbolt the sway bar tabs and they weld to the frame right above where the old tabs came off.
That's what I wanted to hear! I have a BMR solid bar on mine now. I had Eric build my Fab 9 back in Late '08, so he didn't have this ARB set up back then. Unfortunately...
Appreciate the info man! Oh, and kick *** car BTW...
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
After what seems like it would never move, ups and downs...and some sideways in there, took it out for a few miles and some hole shots. Its simply amazing the power this stuff makes. Sometimes i regretted selling the lt1 because of all the downtime (6 yrs) but now i don't, lol. It still needs a alignment and wire up the headlights but thats nothing compared to a entire build! Heres a quick vid my buddy took in the car, when i get more legal ill get better vids....
