Ya, buy rod-ends they said, lol. It is what it is now so I guess that's what I get for building a drag car for the street.

Thanks! I can't seem to get the front suspension close, I turned the left side to lower the ride height but doesn't seem like it wants to come down. I'll mess with it tomorrow and unhook the arb in case that's holding it back.

On the other hand I found my headlight plugs so now I just need to run wire for power and brake lights.

ha, you and me both! The owner of the company i work for just bought a 4-corner scale set-up so once i get some time ill drive it to my work and scale it. It was 29xx when i l weighed it last and that was with all stock suspension and steel hood so i can only imagine!

Might as well do a little updating while im here:
Drove the car a few hundred miles breaking it in, and holy hell!, i have yet to go full WOT without it wanting to brake loose at 50+ mph. This turbo set-up is a WHOLE new ballgame, lol. I ordered a extended sunoco hood for it, that should be here in the next few weeks. Right now im making a master cylinder brace for it. When i was bleeding the brakes i checked the fire wall flex with my g/f pressing on the brakes and it flexes a LOT!, so im in the middle of that. Got all my lights working (headlights, running lights and brake lights) so its street "legal". All i have left really to make it 100% is a hood and wire up my power windows.

Got my master brace welded in tonight. Welded tabs on the back of the strut tower brace, welded a piece of cromoly tube to a mounting bracket that bolts to the master. I can have a elephant stand on the brakes and it doesnt go anywhere! Curious to see how the brakes work on the street now. Also got my hood in yesterday, now to cut it all up and make fit and mount it some how. Doesnt look like fun, looks like a lot of sanding.

little update,
had my hood for a little while now and just got around to getting it trimmed and mounted. I cut the back down about 3" so it would sit lower on the windshield but left cowl full length..

For the front mounting points i made some pins, almost like hood pins but they stop under the hood. Then cut down and welded on the dzus plates to them. So its basically hood pins but dzus style. Drilled hood for the fittings and its solid as can be!

Ordered a turbo blanked off ebay, for $60 shipped it fit great and for the little time iv had it, its holding up fine.

AND ill sneak in a photobomb of my new toy i got a few weeks ago, '09 crf450

Got my hood all finished up last night. These MWC rails are awesome and fit real nice. I spaced them out from the fender a 1/2" so the lip of the hood clears so now my hood has the fill lip and real rigid still for when i take it off by myself. For the time-being and to get the hood mounted i used nuts as spacers till i can cut some aluminum ones out on the lathe at work. Since the side mounting points are adjustable it made getting the gaps right real easy and stress-free knowing i didnt have just 1 shot to drill the holes right, lol. Then for good measure i made extended clips so the back "ears" of the hood are mounted down tight as well.

update:
So on the highway i had a few cooling issues, on the street its fine but anything 1500+ rpm over a longer period od time id get 230+ temps. Only thing i dont have is a air damn so i made one of those to help push air across it at higer speeds. My buddy bent me a piece of 14g stock that i welded nuts on the back side to mount a plastic air damn. Made it so if and when it wears out or breaks i can replace it easy. My buddy got me some really strong plastic that has channels in it that i figure would help direct the air upwards opposed to off the sides. Ill see if and how much it helps hpoefully sunday.

Then while my fans were on i felt a ton of air being pushed upwards before the radiator so had my buddy (sheet metal worker) bend me a piece of stainless and made a cover to direct more air through the fans.

Next mod im going to do is cut back some of the cowl off the sunoco hood to allow heat to escape from the engine bay and not be held in from the extended hood where basically no heat can escape. Hopefully come sunday it will run cool and i can drive it on the highway with no issues.

Heres a newer idle clip i took the other day testing out the new phone. This thing takes badass videos!!..

thanks, its a little tricky mounting it that way since the t6 flange is on the outer side of the frame rail. If you go back a few pages youll see i had to cut out the frame rail and tube it in for more room.

Yeah i remember. i've been following your build from the beginning. Would it have fit mounting it on the inner side of the frame rail? I haven't started making my hot side so the options are endless.
