Then i was board so i figure id cut some thick aluminum washers for my intake. You guys with a vic jr/sr prob know that the intake holes on them are huge, way bigger then they need to be and that annoyed me. So i cut some thick washers on the lathe so now i dont need to run a ghetto 2-washer system and have them bend inwards...

Next mod was to baffle my valley cover for my catch can lines. LIttle did i know the openings in the block were in front and in back, so not knowing that i welded my -10 bungs directly over those openings so i got a lot of oil pushed into my can. Took off valley cover, welded on bungs so hopefully this helps divert oil away and back down into motor vs in can.

No more pics, had to notch the very top of the plate by a half circle, about the size of your thumb. Disconnected you prob couldn't even tell.

The bolt I believe is a m5x1.0, the washer hole is slightly larger and 1/8 thick and about as round as a quarter.

Time for some updating. Since adding the parachute stuff i had to offset the weight somewhere so i took out factory seats and tossed in a pair of kirkeys and cut out the rear corner bracing behind the rear seats. After drilling a ton of spot welds those came out, not sure how much overall but enough to be satisfied.

As for power for new/bigger turbo i took out my old smaller blower cam from 2007 and went with a BTR stage 2 for more modern cam technology and power. Then re scaled the car and for a face lift i painted my convo pros black. Looks like a whole new car compared to when i started this thread back in 2006, lol. Next is a retune for 100oct and new cam/turbo then go chase that 8 sec time slip!!

It's all in good fun, lol. I can't justify $1000+ for a new set of wheels when for a little bit more I can buy a shirt block and go way faster then a new set of wheels would.

Thanks, yea they are shorter. I went from a 27.5" tall down to a 26" tall tire on front. The 27.5"s were cool because you could tuck tire and close the wheel well gap and still have good ground clearance but they would hit the bumper cover so I had to step it down a size.

I get that. The sander wheels I bought for my car aren't the latest hottest looking wheel either but with a slathering of polish and a power ball they're not too bad.... Price was right and at the end of the day they're a double beadlock rear so how bad can they be.

Would I like a 2500 set of weld's on the car sure but I'm not doing that, I'd take that and add it to what I could sell my 2.1/1.4/1 th400 for and build a new Sfi case based 400, or a 1.58 first glide.

Yea exactly! I need a new center section and axles next. I have a 31 spline spool and Strange's "street" axles, not even their "street/strip" axles, lol. So a good aluminum bolt-through center, 35 spline axles are next.

I hear ya my rear has a set of very narrowed 33 spline moser axles in it, going to put some gun drilled/lightened 35 spline axles and put a set of 4.10 pro gears in the rear, along with a lw steel spool unless I find an aluminum one.

Going to have microblue coat all the bearings and gearset to try to reduce drag. May or may not be worth anything but my goals are lofty for this thing and if it does help, I'll take it.

If it ever proves to be too much for the braced up 12 bolt housing I'm going to have a chromoly housing done and the lightest possible options done with it, likely a full floater as well so I never have to think about it again.

Be a nice 7000 bucks to build that.
