Maybe I missed it somewhere in the thread but what size downpipe were you able to fit between the stock kmember and motor?

Ran into some problems tonight. I need to fix my drain because if I slam on the breaks it smokes out the whole street must have a dip in it. Im guessing a restrictor in the feed line wouldnt hurt its -4 and seems to be pushing oil outta the exhaust after a hard run the drain is -10.

Valve cover breathers arent sufficent gonna run a vented catch can with no pcv. Both valve cover breathers were soaked and leaking onto the downpipe and smoked out the whole town.

Parish still running 6 psi.

3 inch but its fugging tight fit.

that would make me worry a little. we have one valve cover filter on the fairmont and it is right near the turbo and even after hundreds of runs it doesn't drip on anything. if you have that much air coming out there might be something wrong.

Oh Great LOL. Id like to change the whole setup from ls1-t56 to a 6.0 80e. But more work and money.

98camarod has the same probally just drenched the filters.

This ls1 has about 61k on it.

I have a old catch can air dryer that I gutted drilled and tapped a breather hole on that im gonna throw on there.

I'd do some research before throwing a vented can and see how it needs to be routed. Before the turbo, I used no oil in between changes and no smoke from the breathers. Now its a smoke show at a light. Revxtreme cans look to be like pretty good cans.

i tried the whole catch can thing. wasn't worth the effort. i tried geting suction from in front of the turbo and still got oil into the intake track. i tried using an exhaust venturi. it might have been working but i am not sure. just a simple vent is the cheapest and has been working great.

The vent is not working for myself, there are oil droplets all around my engine bay. I have two breathers, one on each side.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ting-ok-2.html

Notice that these are for n/a routing and at the bottom of the page its suggested to run the clean side before the turbo. MightyMouse suggests to run it to the turbo port, which also seems the easiest to do.

how about a vent line from the valve cover to a low mounted filter. just let it drip on the ground. if i had an oily mess that would be my next step. i just hate the idea of leting any oil into the intake track.

Im gonna run both valve covers to a vented catch can today and restrict my feed line. Then take it out and see if that helps any.

i worry a little about the capasity of the catch can. most of the catch cans i have seen have a pretty small line to them. how much air is that going to vent before the crank case presure builds and messing something up?

what happens with too much crank case presure? push oil past the rear main seal? blow the valve cover orings out?

-12 would be sweet. i was trying to use something much smaller and had my doubts if it would flow enough.

Everything but the turbo and my ego. Driving around smoking like a 100 dollar car.
