Default ??? P1SC to D1SC ???

So I sent my P1 off my vette back to Procharger on an exchange for a D1SC. I just got the "new" one but they sent my old blower back . They said they just upgraded the internals...

I'm sure the only difference is internal. If you look at Procharger's website you'll see that the specs are exactly the same in every respect except CFM, max power, and max boost. In fact, I'm curious what about them is different if the step-up ratio and inducer and exducer sizes are the same.

Not sure about the rest, but the impeller itself is different between the two, and that is what makes the largest difference in my understanding.

Yeah they make internal changes to the unit which upgrades it to the D1sc level; I think it's all about how much the units flow in cfm. I'm curious too, did they give you a different tag/serial number for the unit?

I dont have it in front of me so I dont know for sure if they changed the tag or not but I would assume they did. As far as the cost goes I will have to check the invoice as I ordered an F1R at the same time so I dont know for sure what the charge was. I want to say it was like $1000

Yes, ProCharger does not exchange the P-1SC for a D-1SC, but rebuilds it into a D-1SC. Bob

The P1 and D1 have the exact same outer casing. It is all in the internals Did they at least switch out the badge?

What internals are changed if the inducer and exduce diameters are the same and the step-up ratio doesn't change?

It took a while for me to look at it but it looks like a brand new blower. They polished it up and they did put a new tag on it. should be a nice upgrade

Thanks for posting, ProCharger does a lot more than just replace the impeller. Bob

I called procharger last week.$1300 to upgrade to a D without a rebuild.Seems kinda steep.

That is exactly why I try to get my customer's to go with the D-1SC kit to begin with. When you initially buy a ProCharger kit, the D-1SC upgrade is less than $300.00. Bob
