Default Gas Turbine JET engine Turbo wanted!

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could possibly obtain a massive Marine Diesel Turbo cheap and used? Im currently on my 3rd tour in Iraq. Stationed in Mosul. And me and some other guys are wanting to build a jet engine in our downtime for a jet cart project. We usually do a project every deployment to keep us busy in the little downtime we do get between missions and maintnance and I want this one to top em all! let me know if anyone has any ideas. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8GBw...e=channel_page) check out that link if you want to see one of these things in action.... Id like to build one twice that size :-D

if you'd like I'll talk to my buddy on Monday, his father plays with turbines as a hobby and could give you some direction.

Is it likely to build a motor with 90lb of thrust on afterburner to get a lightweight cart to hit 40 or more mph?

Ive played around with home made jet engine and jet gocarts. looks great/ sounds sick and crazy and hell. But not worth it unless you are make alot of thrust which start to cost alot of money

Supposedly it can run on gas, diesel or jet fuel, right? That is one sick tank.

So I talked to my buddy and his father should be able to help, here's a link to his site:
http://www.nyethermodynamics.com/

You can get his email off of the Contact us page. Check out some of his projects...including his 1400HP jet boat.

It's nuts that's for sure, you should hear it in person, it's INSANE! They're currently putting a new drive in it for a better bite off the line.
