With a 6 speed I've heard of several in the 900 to upper 900 rwhp range. I would guess up to maybe 20 lbs. with a cog drive or non-slip serp. setup.

Im at the 850rwhp level with my 403 with ysi @ 16lbs with methanol. I have a baby cam 214/226 559/569 115lsa. With a more aggressive cam you could probley net another 70rwhp.

Bretts 403 with YSi and eth made 911rwhp @ 18lbs with a speed density tune.

Someone will get to 1000rwhp very soon Champion Motors sports maybe

I know RMCR's 1 mile drag car did 985 RWHP on a 409 w/ highly ported LS1 castings and 16lbs of boost. Should do better with the better head castings that available now.

you are limited to the blocks 4 bolt head set up to around 1000whp. at those power levels you have a very high risk of lifting the heads.

I'm surprised nobody with a YSi has gone 8's yet, my 9.40 still stands eh.

Craig's drag Ute down under has run something like 8.2 @ 164 on a YSi.

It was posted up here a while back. Must be over a year ago.

I've always wondered why your car never made more power. How much boost are you making? You have a cog set up too right?

I think 2 or 3 of Mark's builds are over the 1000rwhp mark with a YSi ?

Troy's red GTO/Monaro was over 1000rwhp, and that must be over a year ago.

The Ute I refer to is black, CAPA up the side of it...huge rear tyres.

Troy's car is a stunning red GTO, with something like 1100rwhp on a DynoDynamics

Hawk's car above is another stunning example.

Without a doubt, if those cars were built just to go in a straight line, with auto's they have the ability to run 8's

Thats not what everyone wants though. There is more to a car than just straight line racing.
