Hi Andreas,

is this the engine that went 7s in your nova?

do you feel that the stock crank is stable at this hp level or is it on borrowed time?

did you see any signs of deteriorating when you finally pulled the crank?

thanks

Yes, and it shows some users arent lazy ******* who cant be bothered to use the search function.

It's good to see old threads like that used via the search function.

Lesson to be had, leave old threads in the archive and use PMs. If the thread was still a hot topic, it would not have been inactive for over a year. I'm all for searching, once I found my answer and if I have more questions I'll use a PM to avoid cluttering up the main page. Forum etiquettes.

Useful questions and answers via PM offer lots of help to the general community. If the entire forum did that only a select few would gain.

I am in for an answer as well. I am building a stout filled, girdled, and studded ls2 with a new, but stock, ls2 crank. only looking to make 1000 hp, but would still like to know how these parts looked.

1000hp turbocharged wont pose a problem to a stock crank.

If it was blower....I'd go steel just so the snout is stronger to drive the blower.

1300...1400 etc...that I dont know.

Steel cranks arent overly expensive, so if you're going above 1k I think it would be a sound purchase in any case.
