Default Pyramid rings

Hi Guys,

Anybody else try these pyramid rings yet? I guess you over bore the top of the cylinder 1/16th deep or so, what ever the specs are and then seat the rings in this shelf like over bore. Then they seal against the clamped torqued cylinder head. I would like to try these on my 317 heads because they are cheap and expendable if something happens to them. I would luv to make 1000 or 1100 hp on stock 317 heads with these rings. Way cheaper then buying aftermarket heads for a boosted motor.

Has anybody else seen any results yet?

We have our new Cooper gaskets with built in cutting rings. You DON´T need to machine anything. Just bolt on and torque to ARP spec. We sell about 4-6 pcs every day so there are a lot of them around the world.

Sounds like a really good design. How do these gaskets work on the street for a daily driver?

So, these gaskets dont require the lip in the bore for the rings to rest on?

Ok, so I saw in that other post that he said every third time you lift the heads, pull them and mill the head to resurface, so does this mean the gasket is reusable, or do you have to then replace $600 worth of gasket? Also, if you don't push coolant, how do you know if you lifted the head and when they need to be resurfaced?

These seem like a really good idea and perfect for what I want to do, but I really need some more info before I make a decision, would be really nice to just be able to use a set of 317 heads instead of having to drop the coin on an aftermarket casting!

Add $300-$400 for shipping from Sweden.

I would love to get the gaskets.

IIRC, every 3rd time you remove the head, it needs to be resurfaced.....

Ah, gotcha, that makes a lot more sense if that's the case! And hopefully everything stays together, so the heads won't have to be removed too often.
