cool! Mine just did a 1.44 60' and it should do better with more launch psi but if it doesnt i am cool with that since i got the gear/converter i want for the street. My goal was mid 1.4s for the 60 and i am there. Sounds like you are tweaking yours to give you satisfaction for the track AND street. Congrats

I was rereading the thread you deleted, and I don't see why don't have a more open mind on this stuff.
I dynoed 680rwhp and went 9.40@143 blower at 3500 like 5 years ago. So you are telling me that I'd only go 136mph at 750rwhp if I add in a 300 lb passenger? I went 10.05@138mph on pump gas (edited to correct the time) with the turbo setup on a laggy 1.5, and 9.44@144mph with issues on race gas a while ago. I also went 10.008@133mph on a 1.35 with a 3300 raceweight nitrous/h/c car that weighed 3300. That nitrous car dynoed 551rwhp on a 150 shot which is how it was run.
Even in that vid the car seems laggy. I know because my Formula with my old turbo setup was laggy though way more laggy than your car.
I don't see why you also don't acknowledge that the STS setup can run faster than that, Haider linked that black Camaro which I know you are familiar with. Not only that, but I am friends with that guy too. That's actually my old Camaro SS from 1998, he's the 3rd or 4th owner.
Your running a tall tire, no gear, and the car does not 60 ft. I was running a PTC converter too and 60'd a 1.35 on radials and slicks. I'm just saying, you might have some points about folks running too much gear, but I hardly think you are making the case that the gear you run works better, you have never 60'd in the 1.3's and low 1.4's, and I can tell you that some of the folks disagreeing with you have run similar tires and consider a 1.5 or 1.6 short an abort run.
Just saying.

I'm just saying that the combo appears laggy to me, I've been there. Heck when I raced Sprayed01 on the highway, he was busting the tires loose at a 60mph roll I could hear it over our cars.
I have no doubt that Zombie's car could run 140's with a few changes. Zombie if you roll race someone from say a 60mph roll would you start in 2nd gear or 3rd?

Two things to think about....
1) How much ET and MPH did you lose when you ran at Bristol vs Joliet? Most lost from 0.4 to 0.5 et and 4-5mph. Vegas has similar DA to Bristol. DA also drops 60's.
2) I've gone 1.32 sixty and 155mph with a 3.00 gear at 3975lbs at 4000ft DA....(and that obviously does not mean a 3.00 gear is optimum for my combo)arguing over gear ratios in a turbo car is like arguing red is a better color than black. Wayyyy too many things will effect the selection of the "best" gear ratio. Boost curve, timing, converter, torque curve, hp curve, launch boost, car weight.etc.etc.....Warren Johnson could pick it for you and be wrong until a bunch of testing happens....
Just a silly argument imho......

I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself, but the car has gone 1.48-1.52 several times, but the track was prepped. I also have NO SUSPENSION WORK! SERIOUSLY, MY ONLY SUSPENSION MOD IS LOWER CONTROL ARMS RIGHT NOW.
MY CAR IS NOT A DRAG CAR, IT IS A STREET CAR I RUN AT THE DRAG STRIP. WHY CAN'T ANYONE UNDERSTAND THAT. NOT EVERYONE CARES ABOUT GETTING THE ABSOLUTE FASTEST TIME AT THE DRAG STRIP.
I'm also not telling anyone to change their gear ratios. I will never change mine unless I make it a dedicated drag car, but I don't see that happening. I don't care about drag strip performance like you guys seem to. If I did I'd have a totally different car and setup.
If someone can't understand that my car is not a drag car and hence will not perform like one then they are an idiot and I will not acknowledge them.

there you go! you proved my point.
you have the tall gear for street driving BUT if you wanted to go faster you would put a 3.50 or something of those lines in the car.
when i said that in the other thread you said "no car is faster with the 2.75"
btw my car when it had an lt1 on spray and made 410rwhp! at about 3550 race weight went 1.42 60 foot with ZERO suspension! stock shocks, springs, control arms everything!

You have to cut that out Zombie it makes my eyes hurt. It almost makes me cry like before the days of "no more tears shampoo" hahahaha j/k!
Looks like it comes on similar to a little 67mm rear mount, nice work.
Now go race bikes and post video and use little letters, thank you!

for a street car it runs fairly well, for a drag car it runs fairly bad. In the end its all what the owner wants since its his money and car. a solid low 10s street ride is going to hand 99% of things on the street its *** . thats where im guessing zombie was headed in direction
