^^^^ +1 well let me ask this since im going to have to change my map b4 the tune what it i tapped the hole where the map went got a fitting and ran a hose to the top of the manifold and hooked it up there with a hose clamp.. the wiring is long enough and ill give me better access to the map.. but it being so far away from the back of the manifold would that cause an inaccurate reading since its not right at the back of the manifold?

I think it would be able to read the pressure fine at that distance. If there is any loss, it will be minimal.

Well, if you swap the MAP to a 2 or 3 BAR, you won't be able to drive the vehicle to get it tuned. If you move the stock MAP sensor to a remote location, it will not effect the way the car drives. The pressure reading will be the same, but it might not be as responsive to changes, since it is no longer at the back of the manifold. I would try to limit how far you put it away from a direct fitting on the intake. You tuner can't come to you? That would be the best way. I would think you want to keep the MAP as close to the manifold as possible.

I don't think it matters. Doesn't the LS2 have the map right behind the throttle body?

You might be able to get the MAP out without removing the intake, but I'm not sure how you'd plug the hole!

I'm using a Vic Jr intake, and I ran a hose off the 3/8 ? hole on the side of it into a vaccum block with 8 outlets that I run everything off, and my MAP is easlily reachable now.

I was in a pinch so I got mine at the dealership. Ended up paying almost 80 bucks for it. There is an online store that has them, but they were out of stock when I needed to get mine. Let me see if I can find it and PM you the link.
