another e85 thread
490 BBC, brodix aluminum heads, accel dfi, 95lbs inj, elec. water pump, F1 procharger intercooled, 8.4:1 compression, magna fuel 750 pump, 10an line, boost ref. reg. 18psi of boost at 6200 at 28deg of timing (this is a big block)
I have been trying to tune on e85 with this combo, and have just plain gave up and went back to pump gas. On the dyno my afr was all over the place on e85 it would be 10 flat then go up to 12.2-6 and then back down to 10s under boost.
when I'm on pump gas my afr will move maybe .3-5 points. im using the wideband built in to my ccel system on all of these pulls.
Is e85 that hard to tune?
or is my tune just way off?
My biggest concern is on pump gas at idle I'm at 13.8 14.0 at wot its 11.5 11.8 at 18 psi at 21degs.
when I'm on e85 do I shoot for the same afr or does it need to be fatter? also can I take my pump gas tune thats almost perfect and take the hole table and fatten it up? or is the big end the only thing that needs to be fattend up?
I have just order a meth kit that will pump out 28 gals, a hour with the two jets, so my intake charge will be going way down. I will be spraying straight meth
this meth kit will be on the engine no matter what fuel i will use. It was not on the engine with this previse set up
Any help would be great. I would like to go to e85 all the time but no big deal if not thanks agine for ur input

I can not change the way my wideband reads, its set up to read a gasoline afr.
the chart would help alot if I could chang my wideband setting to read e85
Thanks for everybodys input
BTW---I really like E-85---So does my little 305.
