LS6 Cam = Good Blower Cam?

I'll ask the experts. I'm looking for more top end but want to keep the stocklike idle and Manners. Will the LS6 cam make good power with a D1 Procharger kit?

Here's what i'm going with...

D1 Tuner Kit
Kooks 1 3/4th Stepped to 1 7/8th Headers
High Flow Y
Dual Dual
42# Injectors
Holley fuel Pump
80mm TB
LS6 Intake
Custom Dyno Tune

I made 450 on a powerdyne with my lingenfelter cam - 207/220 .571/.578 118.5 - it is basically an LS6 cam on steriods. It should do all right.

cablebandit tried a ls6 cam on his turbo set up and said he didnt like it, and wished he would have kept the stock cam over that one

i think your best bet would to get a custom grind cam with a standard split and choose some specs that would allow your driveability requirements.

I agree, the LS6 would be a bad turbo cam. It would still be a good blower cam though. I'm going turbo next year and getting rid of my Lingenfelter cam. If you're interested, send me a PM. I'm tearing my motor down in a month or so.

The LS6 has good Intake, Exhaust duration and LSA for a SC, but i didnt like the lift on the LS6 cam especially the lower exhaust lift than intake. I think the LPE GT3 cam would be better for a SC'd car if u want to retain stock manners. With the LPE GT2-3 cam i think u should be around 520-550rwhp at 8-9psi.... Good luck man.
