The turbo SS is finally running. After all that waiting, money, and stress I finally got to realize what I have been waiting for. The car is awesome and pulls like mad when it actually hooks up Thanks Rob for your time and the kit. It put a big smile on my face all last night driving around scaring ricers and destroying any competition.

I am still having a couple of problems though but nothing major. When warming up the idle jumps around like crazy and will stall multiple times if not given gas. The metco valve cover breather is not tall enough. Oil shoots out of it onto my engine. Also, I think there is a leak somewhere because a little bit of white smoke is coming out of my tailpipe.

Keep watching that breather. If you see/smell exhaust coming out of it, you more than likely have blow-by and need at least new rings. I have a feeling I washed my rings and now they're going kaput. First symptoms were oil coming out of the breather. Now I have that and when throttle is applied exhaust gas comes out the breather. Don't have a lot of smoke coming out of the tail but some is evident. Car idles crappy and cuts out intermittently while driving. Tested compression on cyl 1 and 3 and got 85psi on both, added oil to cyl. and got 125psi on both. yay. If you haven't done it yet (if you got the non-tuned-kit) get the thing tuned asap.

It just got tuned by Ed Wright. They finished up friday and I took it home. How much oil are you losing? Are you having to add any in between oil changes? Do you have a plan on how to fix these problems? I would be very interested.

well watever you do dont put the cap back on, the pressure comes out the dipstick in that case and it's a lot more oil. Rob said that they welded some sort of baffle on the bottom side of the valve cover, PCV catch can mod supposedly helps as well.

Yea, my breathers were soaked w/oil w/my stock shortblock, it dripped all over my headers....

I wouldn't try pushing any boost through it at all once it reaches that point, otherwise, its bye bye to stock bottom end faster than you want..

do you still have the pcv system in tact? i pulled mine out right after the install, although i never shot any oil out...hope its not too late for you
