EPP built my motor. around 8.5-1 with compstar rods and crank diamond pistons pushes over 900rwhp.mine is topped with afr 205 heads, most will probably suggest the bigger 225 heads but the smaller ones seem to work pretty good

depends what components u use in the block ,cylinder heads, how many parts u reuse if u keep any parts u already have.there are specials all the time on short blocks and long blocks.plus there are quite a few people selling pretty good setups in the classifieds with the economy and all.

i dont plan on keeping the whole engine. but i would want to keep the little things like the ecu . i got to balance it because whos going to want to buy an engine that dosent have everything to run.or if i keep the heads those are only good for what 600hp i have double vavle springs and chromly pushrods in them for now.
