Not a bad idea Phil, I would hate to drop a ton of money on an aftermarket pan, when I am going dry sump with the 6 bolt.

A ton of money?? $219.00 MOR-20140 or do like phil has said. Either way will be good insurance!
I think I have $350.00 total in my aftermarket oil pan setup.

Worse.

On the driver's side you have to contend with the steering shaft. Biggest possible on that side is a 4" with a turbo kmember. That's what I run and it's retarded tight in there. The knuckle on the shaft rubs when making really tight turns.

You can build the remote setup ALOT cheaper than you can buy it.
I priced it out seperatly and if you build it yourself it is like $60-70.
The $600.00 pan is the aluminum pan. The 219 pan is steel.

Honestly, I'd say stick with a wet sump but do an external oil pump. If I did mine all over again I would have a external wet sump and a nice pan.

I used a Stef's oil filter top section and pieced the rest together. The Stefs unit lets you run a Ford 7.3 Diesel filter which they make a ton of nice units and it holds a ton of oil.

Block will be done. We are also going to put some bigger head studs in. I hate spending the money on this block when I should just go to the LSX block.
