Question turbo kit advice/parts ??

Well I've decided that i want to build my own single turbo kit
I'm looking for place that will be able to help me with parts list for a single turbo kit on my Gmc sierra
Are there any books to read on turbo applications
I need to figure out what size unit would be right for my application

the Engine is a built 6.0l Bored .30 over with a 9:1 Compression
I have stage 2 Absolute 6.0l heads with2.02 intake and 1.6ex valves
What other specs will i need to know to properly size the turbo unit
The truck made 534rwhp and 500rwtq on the dyno recently

Any help would be much appreciated
I'm just at my wits end with ATI procharger belt slip issues Nobody makes a turbo kit yet for the trucks so i figure I make my own

GURU's Help me out

Jim

go through these guys :
http://www.proturbokits.com/index.htm
click on "parts and components" at the top.

Talk to Greg if you call..... they will have everything you need probably in stock... if not then they can make/get it in 1-2 days. They do great work.

Hope this helps.

you can get header flanges from GM only like $17 or $34 a piece, harlan posted the part numbers many years ago, so they are in this forum somewhere.

good luck

As far as spool time I don't know never owning a turbo vehicle but, with your stall converter I don't think spool time will be an issue. I really don't think it would be an issue without the stall but, with it you better be holding on the wheel when you hit the gas.

The T76 compressor map really fits a motor your size very nicely. Anything smaller and you'll just have to spin it harder and further out of it's efficiency range to make the same power.

Somebody with a T76 on a Fbody needs to chime in on how it spools up.

The Turbo Tech LS1 prototype with a T-76 was spooling around 3500 rpms.

You can find the dyno chart here.
