k guys and gals let me tell you about what i have been doing as of late with my junk pile.

Now for the "new" stuff
As some of you know i have had a hell of a time keeping transmissions in my car so after 3 failed 4l60s i took a buddys advise and got me a 4l80e, well thanks to some guys over here i have come in contact with a great trans guy that is a bout as good of a guy as you can find and he has helped me with the new trans witch is a now a rebuilt 80 with all the upgrades
34 element sprag
hi-friction clutches
new steels
trans-go HD2 shift kit
and some more stuff that i dont know whats its called
Oh and i have also bought a EDGE PRO converter 3500ish

Well after a lot of help getting up the parts i need from folks i now have it in the car, just need to hook up the lines, starter, and cooler and it is ready to rock!
If any of you have worked the stock ten bolt that's in our pile's you know its going to break, so i have been looking for something to put in there and a good buddy of mine just happened to be selling a 8.8 out of his F-body so he hooked me up with a great deal on the one he had, so i took it down and had the shop re-weld somethings and started putting that in. After some cussing and bitching i have now got the U-Joint thing worked out and the rear end is in the car it is a:
8.8
3:73 gears
Detroit locker
31 spline axles
1/2 inch wheel studs
TA alum diff cover
3 hole LCA brackets
now all i have left to do is put in the pumps and have it all wired up and get it tuned and hopefully i can drive it for a good while this time with out much breaking!

It sure has come a long way from the stock ls1 with a P1 on it, i think its been a good build so far......you know because this is my first go-around with this stuff!

Good progress Ricky. BTW, if you didn't drive it everywhere at WOT like your *** is on fire, it might not break as many transmissions But, where would the fun be in that......

It just takes some time to get everything together man. My car sat for over a year trying to get the funds together to do my Procharger build. Sounds like your making good progress.

I hear you man. My heap has been sitting for the past 10 months while I'm piecing together a turbo setup. Now I got a GTO and am getting the mod bug for that one. I already am in the process of getting an APS TT kit for it. It will never end.

Nice! I must be lucky on my tranny guy, I don't see how people go through 4L60E's so fast. I've had this one for a year and ran consistent 10.0's in a 4,000lb car, another local guy was spraying 250's on his and running 9.7's in a 3800lb car. Lucky build I guess!

lines are now done and the starter is back on just need to install the tranny cooler and maybe the 3.4 pulley. then ill statl on the pumps and here are some of the old pics.

did the twin in take pumps today all i need is 3 clamps and hook up 3 wires, put some fluid in here and take to get tuned!
