Last time I went it did 11.3 @ 128mph with a 1.6 60'.... however I had to wrestle the **** out of it to get 2nd gear to engage. The stock hydraulics REALLY did not like the 5k rpm drop off the line..... had no pedal for 2nd.

Im currently putting a FLT lvl4 4L80E with a Circle-D 4C and Rossler t-brake in it.

3.70 gears work very well with a 28 tall tire, with a D-1SC boosted near the max. KP can tell you what rpm he was crossing the finish line at when he dipped into the 8's with a D-1SC. Bob

ok, somebody has to post low #'s, so it might as well be me
D1SC, 6.0 w/225/229, .580/.590 on a 114, Pat. stage 2 heads, Vic Jr intake with 750 blowthru carb, Proc. 3 core sheetmetal intercooler
488RWHP @ 9.6 psi under the carb @ 6200 rpm, 433 torq in my 3700 lb chevelle with a 4l80e, 28" M/T drag radials, 3.73 rear
i have run a best of 10.68 @ 126-i have beat some cars with 150 more RWHP, so what do the #'s really mean anyway-i just used the dyno to make sure the tune was good, plugs, timing, etc
my old car is all steel with full stock interior, just a street car, been together for almost 1 1/2 years, trouble free so far
ran it last week, just to test the trans, time was off, only 11.0 at 122, real bad air, felt car drop off near the end, plug ck was showing lean, so i didnt make any more passes-i dont run it much, first pass is always the slowest anyway-i forget the bottom pulley size, but i think the top is 4.25, i have a 4.0-i use a vette front drive/Procharger setup, built a 403 w/EPD cam, still sitting on the engine stand-prob more in the present setup, but it is what it is

I never ran in the 8s with the D1SC, 9.17 @ 149 was the best, but that was with a 3.70 gear, 28" tires, 3300lbs and going through around 7000rpm.

The F1A went 8.90s @ 153 at around 7300rpm with the 3.70/28" tires, I tried a 3.50 but the 60 foot dropped off a little.

But I also ran the car at low boost (5psi) to run 10.50 index classes here and there with the same 3.70 gear so its a good all around gear that is still streetable on a weekend car with a non OD trans.

kp what kind of cam were you using to be shifting at 7k? valvetrain? you have pretty much the same setup i'm shooting for.

hey bob, by any chance did you find the rest of the graph i was asking about in 2010 camaro section i believe is was a 402 with an f1a with an ep blower cam. what's the difference between the cam on that 402 and the ep blower cam used on the 346 or is it the same off the shelf one? everytime i think about that graph he makes me so hawny.

I used one of EPPs blower cams, stock 98 lifters, stock rockers, the better AFR springs that came on their 225 heads and that's about it. I shifted at 7300rpm.
