I should have said shifted at 7000 and went through the traps at 7300. But I would occasionally shift it at 72-7300 and it really didnt make much difference. I'm sure the power fell off after 6600 or so but sometimes the less rpm drop between shifts will produce a better ET even though you shift well over peak power. Something you have to experiment with.

Yeah you should be fine with that. I maxed mine out on 7psi, but I have a built motor. But yeah it will be fine. I think its good to 550rwhp-600rwhp.

I use a 3.70 with 28" tires, its pretty good all around gear to start with if you are making over 550hp with an auto.

this must be a sign...ive bought a kit since this thread and im a few grand off from completeing but having money issues due to a move plus getting dishcarged. ive been holding out on selling it...

i just read though this thread again . i am going to take in account for what kp said when crossing the traps an letting her ride... im going with a 3.90 w/ 28 radials btw...kp. i came across a thread you were in on yellowbullet i believe (very informative) and i will be running a 275/60/15

bluesleeper, p&p 241 heads? isn't that still a 10.5 cr? i don't understand your setup that's in your sig.

With a little more timing could probably make 600 but NOT because of stock bottom end.
Damn, real close setup, but I'm still on the original twin 3.5" intercoolers and 6-rib. Performabuilt......good luck.

You 6-speeds put down some damn good numbers!!!
