if you already have heads and cam you will probably need some forged internals not long after the charger goes on. also if you raised your compression you may not be able to make as much boost as you would without the comp bump. the cam would probably be optimized for N/A. not to say it wouldn't work but for the best results you may want to change a couple things in your setup. as for the charger itself, it is a twin screw supercharger so it is very efficient and makes boost from idl to redline. now, i dont personnaly know anyone running the magnacharger but i haven't heard any bad things about it. maybe you should call one of our sponsors and tell them what you're looking for. im sure they could help you out better than i could

As noted you won't be able to run to much boost if you raised your compression with the heads. It's better to keep that at the stock level or even a little lower depending on how much boost you would like to run. The non-intercooled system makes about 5.5# of boost on a stock motor and the new intercooled system will produce 7# of boost. We also have smaller pulleys available if you want more Upgrading the bottom end is recommended if your going to run alot of boost.

Do you buy chance know the measurement from the front of the fuel rail to the back of the charger, also what is the height (more then stock intake) at the rear belt, it looks shorter then the charger body? What is the total height from the bottom of intake to the top of charger in the back ?
thanks

I just saw on the corevette forum that you mention that the ic version may be shorter How much shorter.

thanks again

I'll see if I can get those dimentions.

The IC version will sit about 1/8" shorter than the standard version.

The Magnacharger is a Roots type supercharger, not a twin screw (Whipple or Kenne Bell have those). The Magnacharger does have twisted lobes, which might be what confuses some people. The Roots and Twin Screw do produce similar boost curves, with lots of low end power. If you can fit it, look at the Magnacharger Radix, which has an intercooler. This is important if you live where the weather gets hot. As for the motor, I have 10K miles on my Radix with an otherwise stock Silverado SS 6.0L motor which has a 10:1 compression ratio and the Radix is putting out 7 lbs of boost (thanks to them shipping a slightly smaller pulley than it is supposed to be) . The motor and transmission are still hanging in there, but they do have a few advantages over the run of the mill 6.0L truck motors.
