7 seconds...FINALLY!
Lastly but equally important is Kurt Urban (Kurt Urban Performance). He took an idea I came up with at the LSX Shootout last year and made it work. He methodically thought thru the hurdles of a high HP hydraulic set-up. We wanted to make competitive power with high reliablilty (still field testing obviously, lol) with low maintenance. To recap, the most impressive part of the set-up is Harland Sharp rockers with a custom KUP girdle, cathedral port TEA 245 heads (Thanks Brian and Mike) covering up Fel-Pro MLS gasket with no o-rings. Very basic. Before we finished the build there were a few skeptics (as there should be) on the reliability and mechanical stability. Hell, I was even a little unsure of what we would be asking of this set-up.
Well after months of fighting with Trans and converter issues it finally came together at Milan Dragway last night. We managed a best 1/4 ET/MPH of 7.81 @ 186.7-on a 1.38 (60').
Here is a video of the pass...against a nitrous car in the semi's.

Equally impressive was the best 1/8 ET/MPH of 5.14 @ 152
For those who are wondering, race weight was roughly 3360 for the night.
I'm glad to finally get that 7 second monkey off my back, now it's time to start squeezing this combo for a little more performance before the LSX shootout. I want to be at least respectfully competitive with the solid roller combo's.
Again, thanks to all that has supported the effort this season!

I think it kills the PA guy at Milan Michigan when he says. Here comes another Ohio Boys Car. Then you all run another 7 second pass.
We didn't make it to the pits this trip. We've been there each month beginning with the 1320X in May.
Good Job!
