I played the broken T56 game and destroyed a few clutches before I learned to stop dropping money down the toilet. That and it was very frustrating to get only one good pass out of 3 for the entire night. I'd get a good launch and then miss a gear. Shitty launch and grab all the gears perfect. Meanwhile my buddy with the glide makes perfect pass after perfect pass. Now that I have an auto, I can actually make changes to the car, suspension, or the tune and see what difference it really makes because the car is that consistant. I haven't been on a dyno in 2 yrs.

Personally, I prefer the 6-speed with an anti lag and WOT/no-lift shift. Always have and always will, for a street/strip car. It all comes down to the drivers ability in a manual. They're not for everybody.
amen.

That EMCO 6 speed sounds amazing, but look at the 60's he is cutting dropping the car at the redline.

not to mention the 25k dollar price tag. a 1k dollar th400 with a good stall would own that thing.

wondering how much power these $1500 TH400s will hold?

the ones I would trust are in the $3-4k range like Rossler.

yeah i was kinda wondering how the 1000rwhp guys were getting their T56s to last.. not much can be done to strengthen the gears other than getting the G-FORCE set.. does the cryo treating really help that much or no?

Hell, I'm not trying to push 1500rwhp, but I told my tranny guy that if I want to push the TH400 to 1200RWHP would I be ok? he said, "Yeah, if it breaks, return it and I'll rebuild it for FREE" so, needless to say... I'm set. He's only doing this to prove that if I don't go over 1200rwhp, it'll hold anything and not break unless I sprayed before I let off a transbreak (which I have neither)

He also said that if I paid 2k, he would build me one that would hold 2k hp
