I am in the same boat as the OP, but I dont yet know what type of blower I want to go with, or what type may be more friendly with the higher compression: tvs 2300 or centrifugal? I'm running a HKE 408 with 11.44 compression. Thoughts?

I'd like to bring this back up to the top.
I'm interested in doing the same as the OP. I never cared for boost before, but now I wouldn't mind adding some conservative levels of boost.
11.5:1 comp + 94 octane + Methanol Injection
I realize a lot has to do with the tune, but how "safe" would this setup be? How much boost would be a good level? 3? 4? 5 PSI?

~10.5:1 and 15psi with a 80mm turbo and E85 here. Stock iron block and stock 317 heads. If I try 16psi the heads lift. This could be many of things though; wrong cam, to much timing, or to thin of a head deck. No clue what it makes hp wise, but its enough to go 15x mph out the back door in a 3k lb car.
