Did you get a chance to take it to the track before you did the procharger build? I only took it once and the clutch took a dump after 2 passes. With a junk clutch the car still pulled the wheels on drag radials and did 128 mph on the motor.

Yea it didn't have those drag lites though and no M/T either. Some heavy wheels and Nitto DR zero traction! I think my best time was 7.70 in the 1/8 no where close to your 6.90. I ran it again after the procharger same wheels and tires traction was more of a joke couldn't even push the pedal down but it ran the same exact time 7.70. I did make an a attempt with the slicks and skinnes but it blew through the clutch.

Got my t56 out as well as the 9" center section for the gear swap. I probably cleaned a pound of crud off the suspension parts now you can actually see it. Also started working on the TH400 but found out the ARP torque converter bolts are wrong for torque converter I'm using so I didn't get much done tonight.

I know the belly is ugly I hate it

I don't have any pictures to add yet but I have made a few shakedown runs on the 1/8 recently. We ate a blower belt tonight swapped that and made a 6.50 @ 106 pass. Suspension's no where close to where it needs to be 60ft are averaging 1.4-1.5 but it picked the front a couple of times which was cool.

For the record anyone worried that auto's aren't fun to drive compared to manuals like I was this T400 with the reverse manual valve body blows the 6 speed out of the water not only in ET but in fun I'm happy anyway.

Is it my eyes, or does the casting in the bellhousing area on that block read
"5.7L". Isn't this a 418?

Any graphs with the truck inlet hat on the car? I'm curious to see how much it made with it on and with it off. Nice build!

If you mean connecting the charge pipe to the intake manifold I agree it's part of the kit and it works better for cars with a MAF I assume. I am working on replacing the entire charge pipe with polished aluminum.

Any better times? I was running that 1/8 mile with stock short block with a turbo cam, truck heads. Truck manifold budget turbo set up with 67mm turbo. With 6 speed.

I'm forced to swap to th400 now. Gonna miss the t56 I'm sure of it.

6.50 is the standing best but it was done with burnt valves, bad valve seats and blowing through the converter. I drove it around on the street some over the winter and pulled the heads last month. I should have it back on the dyno and at the track next month. I agree it's a heavy car but those times suck.

Alright let me know, I'm dropping 10k plus doing this new set up. I'd be shocked if I ran the same times as before. Your set up should be good for mid 9s all day I'd think.

Nice build. Do you race at Mooresville? If so post up when you are going, I would love to see the car in person.
