Default LS1 418 F1A Build Thread

Thought I would put up a few pictures the car should finish up at the dyno this week no numbers yet.

Blower bracket

Patriot LQ9 Stage 3

Working on the fuel lines and the pick up (not my best work)

Engine bay back together and trying to get an idle

FMIC air lid is installed at the moment

Wideband and boost

Hopefully I'll get some info from the dyno this week.

The inlet hat now that was the biggest problem of this whole build. The one pictured did not work race valve was in the way (others have figured it out I couldn't neither could the techs). I will have more pics this week when it gets off the dyno.

EPP custom made the brackets they sent them with their FMIC kit. They're fastened to the intercooler in the 4 pre-tapped spots.

It's a stock radiator with A/C at the moment I think that will change. I haven't seen it overheat but the main issue is the clearance for the blower inlet is horrible. The inlet cost me 2.5psi

It's a custom inlet. We changed the pulley and it's going back on the dyno trying to get 16lbs of boost out of it. I'll get pictures of the inlet after that.

you see the procharger one off a truck or GTo that EPP uses? maybe try that one with a big filter.. but it seems like you have it figured out already

Yea I have the truck inlet but it didn't work the filter was blocked by the race valve. If I end up switching back to that I'll probably relocate the race valve up near the throttle body.

I swapped down to a 4" pulley and did another pull it made around 810hp don't have the graph yet but that's on about 15.5psi. Anyway here's the final pictures I finally cleaned up the horrible looking engine bay. Also went back to the ATI 6.0 inlet hat that EPP use's it's flowing real nice I've seen the boost over 16 on the street but I need to get it on the dyno to verify and fine tune. The inlet that was made only made 650rwhp with it on compared to over 800rwhp with nothing. Needless to say it's no longer part of this car.

Engine bay new and improved

Fuel feed and return/boost reference

Fog Lights=Gone

The truck inlet hat suggested by EPP works great with some mods to the FMIC kit. If your going to use this inlet expect to have some issues with your fog lights and maybe your inlet piping like I did.

This pictures shows how I made it work I cut the race valve adapter off the up-pipe clocked it around 90* and re-welded to allow room for the larger air filter. Also had to pull the fog lights.

Black billet grill is next hopefully it will run slightly cooler with that.

Cage that needs to be beefed up

It makes zero traction with this Nitto rubber I'm hoping to get my drag tires and wheels on tomorrow and make some passes tomorrow night. I don't think I'll even bother with this rubber it's not very fun.
