Head studs all the way. Plus get the ARPs now and eat the cost now instead of next time you have the heads off buying another set of GM bolts or upgrading to ARPs later

studs are way better option for forced induction, do better job of keeping heads in place than any bolt of equivalent diameter

Go with the super strength plastic bolts from Harbor Freight. They hold 30 PSI.

Use arp studs. They are better and reuseable.

Studs with an lq4 and 10psi is a waste of money in my opinion. Be like adding wheelie bars to my stock tahoe....sure it will assure it would never put it on the bumper...but needed? No. lol.

When you ask people a question and it isnt their money... of course they are going to tell you to get the best.

Arp studs even if its over kill now if you up the boost or build it they will be used and if not you can always sell for a good amount they hold value because they work and are the best

i vote for studs, they hold good, as said if you ever pull the heads, you can reuse them, and, although rare, since their blind holes, you dont have as much worry about trash in the bolt holes creating a cracked block, more of a concern with alumn. blocks
i run 317 heads on an LQ4, 10-12 lbs boost, 1 1/2 years, no problems
i prob wouldnt replace the bolts if they were already in place though

ARP head studs might be overkill, but I would be willing to spend the extra $150ish to have it done right and piece of mind It has been my experience that when you nickel and dime things, in the end you only have a bag full of nickels and dimes.

ARP head bolts at a minimum but would also strongly encourage ARP stud kit.
