It just requires a good quality puller and press to change.

Do you plan on incorporating any of the LPE "fixes" for the IC? Also, do you plan on any addition porting to the blower itself or the TB?

Great job! Thanks for sharing with us as this might bring some promising results

Yes, I definitely plan to do some inlet porting at some point. There's some areas that can be improved for sure.

I'm not aware of the IC fixes. What's up with that?

So the main question everyone is asking; is this kit applicable for a 4th gen LS1. I have seriously looking into the "Magna Charger LS1 Fbody Supercharger Kit" but this LS9 supercharger would enable me not to cut my cowl or drop my K-member and offer more power, not to mention the stock look.

I am just guessing that it does not fit on a stock LS1. What you be needed for it to fit on a stock SL1, heads, special valley cover?

I am also curious if it would fit under the stock hood of 1997-2004 LS1/LS6 corvettes.

Here's where we're at with the car.

It looks like we have gone beyond the limit of what the stock exhaust manifolds will support. Not really surprising I guess; you can't keep cramming more in with no way of getting it out efficiently and expect gains.

With the MP-112 Magnacharger at 4 lbs. of boost the car ran consistent 10.7-10.8 @ 127-128 MPH.

Saturday I made 2 passes. The first was an 11.0 @ 121 MPH.

For the 2nd pass I opened the cutout and went 10.9 @ 126 MPH.

With the Magnacharger, opening the cutout never made any noticeable difference. As you can see, opening it added 5 MPH, but is still slower than the maggie.

So even though there's a solid 9.5-10 pounds of boost the whole run, the performance is down. Not sure I can fully explain that, but it is happening.

Also, I scanned the runs, and there is a nasty torque management table in the ECM somewhere that is coming in bigtime now! On the 2nd pass, as soon as I launch the timing is going to 15 deg AFTER TDC!! Then it slowly ramps back up. It feels like a bog off the line.

With the Magnacharger it would pull 6-8 degrees momentarily and then ramp it back in, but now it's a huge drop that is slowing the 60' to around 1.7 seconds.

We can't seem to find this table in HPT.

Also, we put the car on a Mustang dyno for a little tuning and here's what it made:

510 RWHP and 621 lb/ft Torque (the printer was broken so I couldn't get a plot). A little on the low side. Not that I care too much about dyno numbers, but it is an indicator of a problem.

I'm going to completely revamp the exhaust system and I'll have to do something about the torque management, and then see where it is.

Being it's a 3rd Gen, I think I'm limited to a 1.75" header, but I'm sure that will be a big improvement over what it has now.

I always enjoyed running in the 10's and then everyone gawking about how well it runs for having stock manifolds, but it really looks like they are getting in the way of progress now.

So headers and exhaust go on now as well as figuring out the torque management. Then I'll go back to the dyno and see what that does. It looks like that's it for the track until spring.

Yes, we have burst knock turned off.

BTW, the control system is an E67 ECM with T42 TCM running Trailblazer SS calibration.

T42 John? Typo right? Knowing you can work magic though....

Would also guess you have Tip In and TCS turned off. The TCS tables a good to control out of the hole wheelspin via torque limiting (well at least until we get better rubber ).

There is a table in the trans that controls per gear torque limits. Stock it is ~900lb/ft. If you are putting out 500+ at the engine at lower rpm and using first at 4:1, and hooking up well, you could be easily getting past this. Havent seen this table in HPT though. Am sure you could bend their arm to include it.

Plenty of time through the winter to get it right no doubt.
