Default lightweight flywheel for the street? (with turbo)

hey guys, im building a 402 with a front mount turbo, and am wondering if you guys run a steel flywheel or aluminum on the street. What are the pros and cons of it being used with a turbo? im thinking it will spool faster, but not sure if there is any down-side on the street.

thanks!

Use a steel flywheel. The extra rotating mass will help spool the turbo quicker than a aluminum. If this was a N/A setup then you would use a Aluminum flywheel.

is that because there is more load with the heavier flywheel??

I'm using a zoom twin disc package with the alum flywheel and i like it. It requires a little more rpm for initial movement but i don't notice it after rolling.

ALUM. SPOOLS SLOWER. Is that what you are after? If so, order away!

I've also been told that a heavy flywheel and drive shaft help with traction.

Im in for staying with the steel unit on a turbo car, more load on the engine = faster spool.
