Finally got a chance to do some testing on the new setup.
Anybody that has been following along knows that since putting in the Holley Dominator ECU and the Powerglide, I haven't had an opportunity to do any actual testing at the track due to other issues. The other new development being that I am beta testing the new Holley boost control and took out the AMS 500.
I only got 2 passes in and I blew the tires off in the second one as I had a weak burn out and got a little too aggressive on the launch for the track.
This was on 13-14 psi. I'm good with it.
Just got invited to a track rental on Nov 20th so I'll likely see what she has in her then.

Also turned up the controller a little more, hence the additional MPH. You were in the lane next to me on that one, weren't you? I heard you ran 130 on muscle. Nice!

Gday mate, very interesting thread. I have a question for you. You mentioned earlier that you would change the position of your turbo if you were t have your time again. I have just purchased a pt 88 for my build, and i was planning on mounting the the turbo on the passenger side{opposite to us} up high behind the headlight. Being that the turbo is mounted more to one side, will the different lengths of merge pipes affect anything? And will the merge pipes still be the same size in od? Also, what power should i limit the stock bottom end too? Cheers and thanks for a great read, and good luck.

We had a track rental a few weeks back but I ran into a fuel pressure problem after the first pass. I was running the MagnaFuel 4301 (rated 1500hp) pump as was pretty sure that it was the problem as we have had a few fail. This one has already been rebuilt once. I went ahead and bought one of the new Holley Billet Dominator 2000 hp pumps. Took it out for a little beat run yesterday and logs indicate that I am still having the same problem. I'm pretty sure that it's the BRFPR. Seems to be losing the reference after it peaks. It's an old Aeromotive that is not recommended for the power that I am making so I will be replacing it in the next week or 2 with a Holley. Holley is giving us great pricing direct as a courtesy for beta testing the Holley EFI boost control and the feed back that we have provided for the EFI in general on the LS platform.
I also discovered a bad ignition switch that seems to be causing electrical gremlins. I guess at 14 yrs old, she's no spring chicken.

Yeah the old lady is already pissed hahaha! I do have one question though. Earlier you were talking about hybridizing your turbo because you wished yours was slightly larger. If you were to pick up a shelf turbo which one would get? I ran the numbers and compared a t88 map to a t91 and they seem prettty similar. What do you think about a pt8847? What did you have in mind?

Nothing new. The car has been parked for a while. This time of year is just sooooo hot down here. I'm also having an intermittent electrical problem that I haven't had the patience to chase down which basically is cutting the power in the car for a split second at a time. Basically just enough to screw up a pass as it usually happens on the launch. Happens so fast that you can't even feel it while normal driving. It's a true gremlin.
