Looking good Brian. Let me know if you ever need any extra help at the track. I don't think I will have my car back together until the end of the summer and I wouldn't mind coming down and lending a hand.

Not a terribly productive weekend since it was COOOLLLLLLDDDDDDD out there

fabricated the rear driveshaft loop this weekend...talk about having no room in the back...Its mounted to the torque arm and has two removable pins so you can take it off to install the driveshaft. I'll post a pic of it tonight

Picking up my freshened up transmission Friday

Maybe I missed it. Did you paint it or have someone else do it?

That's what I want to do. What size compressor do you have? I only have a 1 car garage, but I bought the car dollies, I'm going to see how much room that gives me.

Did you have any issues with doing it in your garage? I was thinking about doing this as well.

Did you wet the floor before you painted? heard that is suppose to help with dust.

I was talking with a guy I know that does alot of paint... the one thing that he told me, is to cover EVERYTHING in the garage, and keep as FAR away from anything as you can to help prevent stuff from geting stirred up. Wet the floor, and do it HEAVILY..

In the end nothing beats a good booth, but that's certainly not something that most people have access to, and certainly not in the garage/back yard.

My windshield reveal molding came in the other day so we mocked up the lexan windshield in place...going to make an appt with out local glass guy to come over and put it in...

Threw the car on the scales...
Everything except engine, cold side piping, fluids, and me came in at 2448 lbs. (this weight includes the transmission and torque converter)

We have a good chance of making 3200 raceweight...

just to help out...I found another ~1lb to take out...I reconstructed my coil pack brackets out of aluminum (instead of steel). I got one finished, it was 0.6lb lighter than the steel version. I need more aluminum angle to finish the other one...
