Got the car back on the road....then my turbo appears to have assassinated itself. I noticed I couldnt go into boost all of a sudden, so I figured I blew a coupler or something. Rolled up to a red light. I gave it some gas and brought it up to 3k rpms, then shifted into 2nd, as the RPMs dropped during the shift I heard a loud BANG, BANG. So I pulled into a lot thinking I tore my DS or some **** but I couldnt see anything, anywhere. I get home and pop the hood, and rev it up by hand and theres some very metallic sounds coming from the turbo as it spools then I left off and get the loud banging again. I take off the air filter and spin it by hand, it sounds like a blender that had chunks of metal in it. Rob @Modular is getting a new turbo sent out ASAP, considering upgrading to a t76...

Rob @ Modular is getting me squared away. Apparently they are on back order for a week. Should be covered up warranty, I dont see why it wouldnt it had less than 200 miles on it. lol

Got the turbo off, fins looks good on both sides but the shaft is bent somewhere or something. I can hear it scraping all the time and it even gets stuck and stops moving sometimes.

Thats a good idea, Ill change the oil and see what I can find. Im not seeing any chunks of metal coming out of the turbo so I think Im ok. Rob says it sounds like the bearing is toast but Ill change it as a precaution.

Having major backfire issues, figured it was turbo related but its not. Im tearing into it on friday to see what damage could be done. Im hoping im just running pig rich. But ive accepted the fact that I could have bent pushrods or valves. Its weird, it only backfires on decel and its not like a bunch of little ones, its 1 huge one.
Hopefully not piston related.
