does this sound like the right belt for my procharger?

does this sound like the right belt for my procharger?
I have a sdce 8 rib crank pulley and and upgraded 8 rib procharger j bracket. My blower pulley is a 4.5 and my crank pulley is a 7.25. I got a 40" belt K080400 I think is what it says. Does that sound right before I go through all the work of mounting it up? Also any guesses on what boost that will make through a stock motor

Best way to determine if it will fit is to measure with a tape measure.
First put the manual tensioner all the way up and get your measurement- this will be your shortest possible length. Then put the tensioner all the way down and take a measurement- this will be your longest possible length. You should get a belt as close to the shortest length as possible so that you will have ample length for tightening it.

Ok I didnt have a tape like that so I used some wire. Got a rough estimate and got the 40" belt. Had to really really work to get that sucker on and when I finally did it was almost impossible to get the bolts into the headunit. With the hand of a buddy we finally got it.
Now this sucker is tight even with the tensioner all the way up. Does this sound wrong? The next belt was a 41 3/8 belt witch I thought would be to long especially after stretching. What do you all think. Leave it alone and just wait for it to stretch and keep tension on it or do I need a bigger belt?

Did you take a measurement with the tensioner all the way down? I have usually 1.25~1.5 of adjustment with the stock idler setup.
One other thing to consider is that if your wire that you used to measure was in the grooves of the pulleys you may have a problem getting that 40" belt on because the way the effective lengths of the belts are advertised are not considering that. Been there and made that mistake before myself.
Its gonna be tight for sure if you can get the 40" belt to fit. The best way I've found of getting a very tight belt to fit is to remove the crank pulley, install the belt on the head unit pulley and then loop it on the crank pulley and then swing the crank pulley up into place and bolt it on. Good luck man, I hope you can get it to work out.

Yea its on. It took some work but i've heard they are tough. My concern is that the tensioner is all the way up and the belt is pretty dang tight. Is this gonna be a issue? I guess i'm wondering can the belt be too tight or is it the tighter the belt I can get on the better off i'll be? I know the belt will stretch after use and I think i'll be ok. Whats your opinion? The belts on though, tensioner is all the way up and its super tight. Head unit is bolted up.
