2nd stock longblock into the 9's!
and this time with a 6 speed!!!!!!!
I was hoping to scare Chris Stewart's auto conversion 9.7x, but that might be out of reach for where I want the car.
What a great time at the MIR Smackdown! That's what this is all about. I had a blast! My wife and friends even enjoyed it. They asked when we were going to do it again. Of course not sure when/if that will happen.
Big thanks to everyone that helped yesterday. I owe much of it to two guys. Chris Uzzel for helping me turn wrenches and getting this thing to the amazing car it is. Steve Williams (Frost) for setting me up with an amazing tune. Who'd a thought a stock longblock could do this??
This was my first time out with radials. I was also a little rusty as I only had 8 passes in 2009 coming into this event. My shifts were dead on all day. On the passes we logged, the shifts were within 8 rpm of our target. Took me a little time to figure out the launches though. It was pretty cool to bust it out in the last 5 minutes of the day. Gotta love the pressure!

Stock fuel system with a BAP and a ton of meth. For safety, I run 100 at the track.

Congrats Dave,
You had everyone on edge waiting until the last pass late in the day to run the number. Every time I tell someone that your engine is 100% unopened and 100% stock, they look at me like I'm putting them on. That thing is racking the passes up too; any idea how many times that thing has gone down the track?
Great job on the passes this last Friday; the shifts couldn't have been better even with an automatic. I had a good time at the rental, even if we could never get Jason's second stage working. Thanks for putting that on, we could all see that it was a lot of work and thanks for the props in your posts.

I think the RXT is rated to 800. I'm simply amazed at this clutch. From day 1, it drives darn near stock. I can slip it inch by inch, yet it holds crazy power. Not like the Tex Exoskel I had. It held well, but had a heavy pedal and was definitely on/off.
