Not trying to be a dick but I would ask that you start another thread or call them directly. This doesn't have ANYTHING to do with this build and is not even remotely on topic.

Standard bellhousing pattern bolts right up. Need a flex plate to use a standard TH style converter with the LS spacer on the snout. Same as bolting up a TH350 or 400. Then you need to get a cross member for it and adjust driveshaft length accordingly. You'll want to switch to a torque arm that mounts in the rear or the tunnel as well if you haven't already done so.

This is new ground for me, this engine goes in my Runner Bottom V Drive, the power glide spacer is how thick?
Also is the crank bolt pattern different than that of a previous model SBC?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I don't know what a Runner Bottom V Drive is.

To bolt to a newer 2000+ iron block LQ4/9 or an aluminum LS type motor, no spacer is required. The SBC pattern glide will bolt right up. I think it skips a bolt or 2 but you just bolt in the ones that line up once you slip over the dowels. As for the crank flange, I'm not sure but I think it is different. You should start a thread in the transmission section. The tranny pros troll that area.

Default Powerglide info

A runner bottom v drive is a drag/ski boat from the late 1970's, the BBC is a monster and is fairly rare now. So I will squeeze as much as I can from the LQ4 once set up and properly stuffed with air pressure. This engine is very light compared to the cast iron boat ancor I pulled out.

Thanks again for the Powerglide info.

I was thinking that it was a boat but didn't think that they used transmissons.

You will see them a bunch in v-drives. The velvet box has crappy neutral/reverse shifting (think of a stick shift with no syncros left and can't use the clutch). Also when you put big power in them, you use a bunch of overdrive in the gearbox, and it will idle at 20-30 mph if you dont use a transmission.

what type of head gaskets are you using? is the block oringed? I read the whole thread and saw you broke a imput shaft from rossler , I did the same thing with there level 4 turbo 400 and found a stock input shaft ,I replaced it with a billit shaft and havent had any problems, but be careful with stabbing the throttle if she breaks loose mid track the sudden snap will break even the best shaft

Flepro head gaskets no oring of heads or block. I have a ringless billet input shaft from Rossler now. Yeah I learned not to stab it again if it breaks loose. The converter is to tight for that now.

I just replaced my 160lb injectors for Siemens 220lb and replaced all my plug wires with a custom made set. Hope to make it back to track this week.

Sweet! Are you shooting for some 7.90s consistently or faster?

Back to the track Friday. He put in a new set of 220# injectors. The 160's were seeing 90-95% IDC. Hopefully they aren't too far off. I'll be tuning it tomorrow night on the street and then at the track for higher boost. Hopefully we wont have anymore issues and he can start turning it up to see how high it'll go.

Did some more tuning today for the new injectors. It was pretty far off. Got it all dialed in pretty close but we are having the issue where the boost just goes away. It is fine at 21 psi. Once we turn it up to 26-27psi, you are wide open under full acceleration and all the sudden the boost is gone. Like no boost at all. Gage reads a couple psi of vacuum but the car is still accelerating like its NA. Best guess is that the BOV is opening up. Not sure what else could cause this problem. Let off the gas. Stab it again and the boost is right back. We are going to put a heavier spring in for tomorrow to see if that fixes the problem. If it pops off again, we may have to try wedging it shut just to rule it out. The drop is so sudden that I think even if both wastegates opened all the way up, we wouldn't loose boost that fast.

Have you seen this problem before? Does it sound like it's the problem?

Any word on that power steering bracket? Is that thing on a slow boat from China or something?

Brackets should be here any day.
I have seen the issue you are talking about in big boost situations force the BOV open due to not having enough spring pressure.
