Street car or not a leak is a leak.
I dont need a tube to know that the valve is opening. I have a log that shows it without a doubt. The question is why? I suspect that the 6+ft of 1/8 tube is causing a delay in getting the pressure to the top of the BOV. If that doesn't work, then we'll try the tube thing.

You know those people that keep a file on every dollar that they have spent on a car? He's the opposite of that.

I'm in the first category, but would prefer not to know at this point.

Yeah, he doesn't want to know. He's had this car since it was new 99 and it has been through alot of changes. Lot's motors, transmissions and combinations. They file would be big and ugly. But to answer the spirit of the original question, I could duplicate the setup for about $80K (ballpark).

He's been over 180.

It's getting full exhaust on Friday FINALLY. Hope to have her out to the track next Wednesday or Friday depending on the weather. We were planning on going yesterday but they called it a rain out really early.

We took the car out last night again with the new spragless converter. He broke the sprag and the stator on the Pass Time Show.

First pass comes out and car is backfiring out the exhaust 3-4 times thru first gear and then clears out. Check the log and there is no data from the BS3.

Second pass, pops only twice thru 1st gear and clears out. Check the log and it's there. Damn wideband is flipping out basically reading full lean. I review the fuel table and determine that it might need a little more fuel where it was popping but I knew it wasnt causing the problem.

Third pass, same **** but then shut off. Coasted to the end of the track and pulled him back. Pump wouldn't come on. Tried turning it over and no compression. Looked in the valve cover thru the fill hole and the rockers aren't moving.

Pretty sure he sheared the cam bolts off the cam sprocket or they backed out. Cam was walking after the launch and advancing/retarding causing all the backfires. He said it would feel silky smooth after the backfiring cleared up. VVT for the loss. LOL

Hoping that the dish piston, big chamber, and low lift cam (.610ish) combo has enough valve clearance that nothing hit. He said it didn't sound ugly when it died and spun freely when I heard it. He should have it apart tomorrow for a confirmation.

He's already decided to take the car down to check out some stuff. Transmission is going back to Rossler to get the trans cooler lines pumping again. That external pump bullshit is for the birds.

Engine is going to Total Engine Concepts to check bearings, rings, valves, machine surfaces, etc. He was going to do this soon, regardless, as we are curious what sort of pounding this power is giving to the motor.

Big Stuff 3 is going back to get checked out. They need to check out the wideband issue that we been having.

He'll be down about a month.

Put it together, tear it apart... repeat... repeat... repeat. It's a never ending process.

Lots of people don't realize all that's involved in going this fast. Making the power is only half the battle.

Standard double roller with regular cam bearings. None of that fancy stuff is required unless you're turning big rpm. He doesn't hit 8k rpm.

You'll be fine as long as you submitted your billet VIP card.
