Default ebay turbo kits

so i was looking at the turbo kits for the hot side and ebay has them for like 500 or 600 and it includes the turbo headers with a t4 flange and all the piping to connect it into your existing exhaust. all you would need is the fuel components, a t4 turbo, intercooler, and wastegate......has anyone run this on their car and had some success? as long as you get a good turbo and wastegate like a masterpower t4 and a tial wastegate you shoudl be good right? oh yeah and get a decent intercooler too.....how much power would you make with a good tune on a stock ls1???? im just curious because i want some more power.......let me know. i know that question has been answered before but i cant find the post and its easier to create a new thread. thanks guys and girls.

Just got mine running and the only problem I had was that the wastegate tube didn't line up but with a little work I made it fit. Also some quick tips to save you a headache are...

solid motor mounts
braided power steering lines
good alternator relocation bracket
wrap the hot side
plug wire sleeves

All true don't forget fans.

You should cut that wastegate piece if you didn't mine had like a 3/8" hole in it. I believe Nighthawk has pics of his on here also.

How much power did you make?

With the above mentioned, I also had to make my header bolt holes larger for them to fit. On 7lbs of boost without my 2 step, th400, transbrake, eboost, 9", adjustable torque arm, drag shocks, drag bar and good tires and I ran a 7.01 @ 99mph. I can't wait to see how I do after doing all this ****

I have not had the tune finalized or dynoed. Ordering an alkycontrol kit before I up the boost. I saw some people having problems with one of the header bolt holes and an oxygen sensor not fitting right but I guess I lucked out and had no problems there. Check out Derale 16925...two of those fans seem be working great for me.

Although the ebay kits are cheap, I would have gone with KYTP. Theres so much stupid **** you have to worry about with ebay kit, like melting ur motor mounts(wtf is that about). I wouldve rather gotten flipped manifolds and had josh weld me up a crossover and DP.If in the right position I might have been able to keep the stock electric fans too.

If you go with Josh@KYTP you have different setups to chose from and can also keep ac if you would like or do away with it...I've been looking into getting a kit from KYTP just trying to figure out some other things first like motor rear gears which turbo setup but keeping the ac for sure
