Default Trying to find a pulley for a mangsun for cts-v

Ok So heres the story We put a magnuson 112 on a 05 CTS-V and are BARILY getting 6lbs. We thought that wasnt a big deal since we just figured we could swap pullies. NOPE the best Ive been able to track down is a 10% OD crank pulley from inovators west (which MIGHT get us another lb for $550) . Magnuson says that the main shaft pulley is as small as they can go(2.8) and they refuse to make the rear pulleys 1:1, They said there was clearance issues...
This is complete BS! The last person I talked to at Magnuson said "the boost you get is what you get" Im beyond pissed about this. Ive called MTI, lingenfelter, inovators west,ECS and south florida pulley.... Same BS nobody can get us a pulley that will incease the boost..

The closest weve come is a custom crank pulley from south florida but its modified from a stock pulley and im not to confident with that..

Is there ANYONE out there that knows something that I dont!? ppl with vettes and f-bodies change pullies all day long!? FWIW I believe the offset on the crank pulley for the V is the same as the vettes...

I hate to break this to you, but a 112 is really to small of a superchager for a 6L anyway you spin it any faster, and it's not really gonna make any more power, just more heat. It WAY over it efficiency range What are your IAT's now? The intercooler in those things is not very big.

Especially when compared to the TVS units

We are also working to get a prototype heat exchanger in there... on a 80deg day we see 130deg IATs at the end of a run with the stocker.

I do not recall off the top of my head which pulleys are on the back of the charger itself for the CTSV, but you might be able to change those out for your boost increase.

I think they are under driven for the GTO and CTSV, which is why the pulley sizes are so small up front, go to a set of Corvette pulley's in the rear, and you will have the boost your looking for. Of course then I'm going to suggest meth injection to help fight the IAT's though, good luck on your build.

ECS, thats exactly what I was wanting to do but MAGGIE says NO it cant be done.. Is this something you guys could do? Ive looked at the rear pullies pretty close and it looks like theres PLENTY of room to run a smaller pulley on the main rear rotor shaft. right now its def underdrivin. I was thinking about just getting another rear pulley liek the one thats on the drive shaft and swapping that but they wont even sell that to me...

Meth is DEF going on there

Let me make some calls, that will usually require you to send it back there though, unless you have the capabilities of pressing them off without damaging the unit.

Honestly, I could probably do it but I dont want to mess with it. the owner has no problem sending it out as its his fun weekend toy. Just let me know what you come up with. We had a dyno day planned for Jan 2. If we could get it off and out to you guys and get it back before then that would be great!

You might re-visit post #2. I think you're going to spend time and money spinning that blower faster and get very little for your efforts. A better program might be to exhchange the 112 for a 122. Magnuson had a deal a while back where you send your 112 in and they would convert it to a 122. Wasn't all that expensive either.

We only want 8-9lbs out of this thing! that should be attainable on a 346 and should put us over the 500hp number. Right now It put down 465hp without meth, 18deg of timing with 130 IAT's @6lbs If we can get 2-3 more lbs of boost Justin will be exstatic. Before we even put the 112 on for him we told him to check into a 122 and he came back with a price of I think about 1200-1500 to upgrade... MAYBE if we knew it was going to be a pain in the *** to get pullies for the 112 we would have pushed for it but at the time it was to much money for a bolt on cam on LS6...

ALSO we have every intention of upgrading the heat exchanger. If we can get to 8-9lbs with just off the shelf pulleys AND get the intercooler setup from the KB to work then itll be sitting right where he wants it...500+ hp baller mobile..

Old motorhead, realize that we arent trying to spin this 112 any faster than any of the vette or f-body guys. maggie just gave the V guys a weak sauce blower setup, its got a large front pulley and underdriven rear pullies. we arent anywere near the max on this thing...

I'd be very interested in hearing more about what you would do to increase the cooling abilities. I think the 112 is going to be blowing more hot air then its worth after 6-7psi.

Bigger water tank, bigger H/E would really go far with your stock boost levels IMO.

Hendrix Engineering has been putting together a KB based upgrade to the heat exchanger issue... should take care of that problem now if we could get some more damn boost!

I have a 2.6 pulley for my CTS-V maggie. I think I got it from pulleyboys for like 75 bucks. It does need to be machined to fit though.
