magies work great for drivers they just build a lot of heat when you make runs at the track with out a extended amount of time to let them cool off. They also seem to make there power at lower rpms.

my car is a d/d and would only see the track maybe once or twice, i just want to know when i'm driving on trips they won't be any issues or when i slam the pedal to the floor the car is going to pull hard. i know s/c like pc or vortec work better for highway use but i love the look of maggies and the sound is incredible.

My maggie, in my application (CTS-V) suffers pretty good with heat soak. I see upper 140's in IAT temps when ambient temps are in the 30's. I am converting to E85 and will be adding a meth injection kit before summer comes to help compensate.

I have a 2001 SS Camaro. The engine was first built by MTI in marietta, ga with cam, heads, all bolt ons. About a year later added a mp112 blower. Car has about 5000 miles or so on it after the blower and runs great. Two trips to ohio from Atalanta with 410 gears and no problems. Never any heat issues on temp gage if I run it 0 to 120. Just clutch issues sticking but just took the car this week to N.C. and had tick put their package in with a level 3 monster clutch. New hydralics flow a lot more fluid , should be fine now.

They respond similar to n/a motors. Intake and exhaust upgrades make more power. The truck in my signature makes about 9psi. It's about 500rwhp w/o the nitrous. That's through a 4L80E tranny and truck diff with fat/heavy tires and wheels. Same motor with a camaro or vette drivetrain should be at least in the mid 500's at the wheels. First time at the track, it ran three 12.57 quarters without the nitrous. Two at 109 and one at 108mph. 5000 lb truck. The runs were at least 30 minutes apart (crowded track).

I dont have any issues with mine getting too hot. Actually now that it has gotten colder here in Oklahoma I am seeing much colder intake temps at cruise than I ever used to. Even back when it was warm it still ran just fine. Mine makes a little over 11 lbs of boost with stock heads and cam (they are really holding it back over about 5500 rpm) The car really comes alive at about 100 mph. Anything before that and you cant maintain traction. Its definately a fun ride. Just dont buy it from MTI, trust me on that.

Love my Maggie as a DD. No driveability issues at all. You get tons of torque at any RPM. This makes the car more fun to drive, without really breaking the law.
In the winter my IAT is 65-80. In the summer, sitting in traffic it gets to 130s. But as soon as you get on the highway it'll drop below 110 (on a hot day).
The highest I've seed my IATs was near 150. This was on a road course on a hot day. A little bit of Meth dropped the temps below 120.
The car pulls the same at 120 as it does at 70. My car LOVES 4th gear in tripple digits.

No need to touch the oil pump as long as it is in good condition...forget all the ported LS6 or HV Melling nonsense.....stock is fine for a Maggie. Same with valvesprings...if yours are in reasonable factory condition you are fine. If you put a blower specific cam in, then "Yes" upgrade to the manufacturer's spring recomendation. Make sure your fuel system is up to snuff...I put in a fuel cell with electric pump so it was a no brainer but make sure you supply enough fuel. Same with engine management.....I have a FAST XFI....got it cheap and works great....allows fine tuning all parameters. A low restriction exhaust is also very helpful.

i know the kit is coming with a boost a pump and mines working great so i don't need that and have full exhaust. my car has 57000 miles and i figure it since it going to put out a bit of power it will need that stuff. i know it will need a clutch and wondering which one will hold the power and give me a near stock fell.
