I've also been giving some thought to an upgrade. I have a MP T-70 and would like a little more like a 76 but like you said, they are $1200. I could just get another T-70 for $600 and do twins but I'd have to do the extra plumbing for twins. Is the MP T-76 or MP GT45 worth a damn?

dude the same setup with my MPT76 to my TC76 and gained over 100 hp. I would never ever consider another MPT76 with a single setup. actually the only reason I'm doing twin T70s is because I plan to to go twin TC78s later when i get all the bugs shook out. I sent you a PM bro

If you already have one TC76, just buy another. Don't even mess with the MPT70's.

I'll be honest. I hate Mater Power. my MPT76 was a terrible turbo. I got a smoking deal on a brand new MPT70 and had the idea in my mind. I'm gonna use them for now and try to max them the hell out. then go with Precision or Turbonetics.

damn thats a steep torque number for the power. is it diesel? jk. they are cheap and worth every buck. if they get me close to the 900 whp mark then i may just keep them. I think 900 hp for a set of 70s is easy work provided the combo is right.

i could be terribly mistaken, but i think that means the turbo is beyond maxed out

I'm sure it is. It's providing max flow at just 4500 rpm. Same amount there than at redline. That's why id like to upgrade. I want more top end

sorry bro, i was referring to this bolded part. lol. i was saying the reason his torque is so high because he is outside the efficiency range of the turbo. if im not mistaken.

oh yeah it's pretty winded but those are still GREAT numbers for that cheap of a turbo. plus torque wins races (on the street anyways).

well, no updates, finally picked out my machine shop here locally, and have been waiting for another member to give some feedback on his newest setup before i pull the trigger on the turbo.

im leaning towards the s400-75, as i come to find out, another member is using it, and tuning some today, so im just kinda wanting to see how it works out for him. Being that its on a t6 frame as well.

its a long ways off, i dont really have a wish to get her together right this minute anyways. just as long as i can make the shootout next year here in indy, ill be happy.

I am thinking about the same turbo on the t-4 frame because that's what I am set up for and it being a rear mount. What's the down side of the t-4

More backpressure. That could limit your max boost. Look at Zombies car. He hits a plateau around 15-17psi where his car doesn't really go faster. A T6 framed turbo properly chosen shouldn't have that issue. The hard part is chosing one, lol. Not a big pool of people to ask about T6 rearmounts. I'm also anxiously awaiting Daniel's results. I've been planning a T6 rearmount since before Daniel bought that car. I don't want to have to use a $500 quick spool valve though. I'm just going to deal with the lag on the street and use nitrous to spool it at the track.
