Yea, was on a C7 Cat in a mine-resistant truck. Had 2 injectors get taken out as well, but management only wanted to put on a new turbo and intercooler. It had some noise at idle but ran ok so we had to roll it on out. I think some soldiers took the air filters out to try and get some more hp out of the engine or something. Either that or they pulled the filters and threw a handfull in there.
when you took out the injectors did you see any rocks or anything in the cylinder ?
i have never seen a turbo that badly raped. i once seen one with a disintagreated exhaust wheel and that killed the motor, because some little parts went to the oil pan and the oil pump picked up and sent to the bearings

It wasn't until later that we checked the turbo after the injectors were long gone. Trending Topics
