I would have thought a 3000-3200 would have been a good start, but you will figure it out. Circle-D stuff is nice, I just don't like having to take it back out a few times to get the stall right. Had three experiences with them (On customer cars) and they all required several removals to get the stall right. But with that said I have one of there converters as well they hold up.

i had the same thought when i bought mine, i started at about 2800. ended up pulling the tranny for something else so i bumped it up to about 3200 and its perfect, flashes about 3400 to 3500 then pulls back down, catch the foot brake and throttle just right leaving off idle and it hits like a freight train. ive got the 258mm stage 2 2c and 4l60e

3400 on the foot brake is way too loose...i cant get mine over 2500 2600 with the foot brake and been 1.3x 60's before...but i do have a little more gear

sounds loose. Try the transbrake. Dont sit on it... just put it to the floor see where the tach goes and stop.

i will tell you this... I drive my car around with pump gas and 10psi... if i have my 28inch tall radials on i cant even get into it on the street. It will blaze the tire in 3rd from 50mph like its nothing.

and 10psi is not that much power....lol

put the new verter back in today, along with a fresh set of TR9's gapped to 0.028 but developed a coolant leak in one of the radiator hoses, totally unrelated to what I was working on, thats usually how **** goes wrong lol.

fixed coolant leak...

verter feels a LOT tighter... cant even barely hit 2000 rpms foot braking it.. was just driving around to top off the trans fluid level. Will drive it more next week

I have a super tight niel chance pro mod verter in mine.I cant foot brake it over 3 but my car got way faster with the th400 and this verter than it was with the 6spd even on roll races.
