With a t56 you can get a no-lift-shift box now

You still disconnect the motor from the drive train, shift way slower and more often.

Why are they less streeable? High gear is 1:1 just like a TH400. Just one less shift to get there.

Take the car to the track and see what it does. If you trap over 150mph in the 1/4 I'm sure you'd be happy. You had what 1000rwhp thru a T56? So if you are now 850-920rwhp you should trap 150-155mph I'm thinking?

To give you an idea on HP loss, I made 922rwhp@18psi with a 6 speed and then switched to a glide and it took 22psi to make the same power. Your motor is larger so it may not take as much to get you back to where you were with the 6 speed.

I would be happy with that

I made 1090 at 16 psi, now its at 18 psi I don't care what the RWHP is... just hope it ET's and MPH's well I just want for it to go down the track nice and straight

not so much the higher speeds but lower, like 30mph or less, i found it always wanted to either speed up or slow down, it felt very strange compared to the th400. now at the track? big change for the better, but it was a street truck so we put the th400 back in. that was the only expieriance ive had with the glide so maybe it was that tranny or setup or both, but thats what i found. ive heard the same from other people so i dont think its me
